Although there's no word on a final release date, and some core functionality is missing, this actively-developed OpenVPN GUI project http://sourceforge.net/projects/openvpn-admin/ looks much nicer and more appealing to non-techies in need of VPN client functionality. GUI-driven configuration, more modern UI design, and non-ugly icons.
