Hawaii Foods

Hawaii Foods
Hawaii Foods is another one of my nearly off-topic indulgences. If you've ever been in Hawaii, you know that the food choices and preferences there are quite different from anywhere else in the U.S. Spam musubi? Iso Peanuts? The Hawaii Foods site lets you find the nutritional (or lack thereof) information for all kinds of food popular in Hawaii. Did you know a cup of Kim Chee (fermented pickled cabbage that originated in Korea) has 39 calories and 1050mg of sodium (yep, it is salty)?

It looks like the site is not quite finished yet though. I noticed that Fast Foods category doesn't have any items in it yet.

I have never been to Hawaii,

I have never been to Hawaii, but I have plans in taking my wife there as my gift onour wedding anniversary this year. According to the Hawaii Tours, Hawaiian foods are one of the best. Actually, they have recommended to try is the Hawaiian Hula Bowl, a mixed lettuce tossed in our fat free honey dijon dressing and topped with strips of charbroiled teriyaki basted chicken, pineapple... Just love to try it.
