Google Chrome: My Take? It is all About Mobile
Google's Chrome browser sure has drawn a lot of attention and speculation for something that mere mortals like most of us have never seen.
Having a cool comic book to promote the product doesn't hurt of course. Here's my take on it launch: This is all prep for launching the Google Android phones which presumably uses the same browser technology as Chrome. Makes sense, right?
In any case, I'm not so sure I like the tabs at the top of screen in a truer emulation of paper tabs. This might sense on a touch screen phone, but I think it just increases the amount of mouse or touchpad movement to get to a tab on a desktop or notebook.
The first Chrome release will be only for Microsoft Windows. So, Linux and Mac users will have to wait (or run Windows in a virtualized environment).
