Two Favorite Free Services at Odds With Each Other: OpenDNS vs is.gd

Well, this is an interesting situation... Two of my favorite free services are at odds with each other. Is.gd is the default URL shortening service used by the Twhirl Twitter client. Unfortunately, OpenDNS which I use instead of my broadband provider's flaky DNS servers thinks that is.gd is a phishing site. Hmm.

Hmm, indeed! I'm an OpenDNS fan too but it's not blocking me - I can open is.gd just fine. Are you managing your OpenDNS filtering or just using it blind? My config for OpenDNS is embedded in my router (Linksys WRT54GL with DD-WRT code) so I can choose what OpenDNS filters.

Don: The conflict between OpenDNS and is.gd cleared up a few hours after I posted my blog item. To answer your question, I'm using OpenDNS blind. I have an account but not setting a custom configuration.
